Taking apart springs to grease and reinstall..

as many of you know by now there has been a nasty clanging noise associated with B+G coilovers. I got an allignment and camber adjustment right after I installed them. what i'd like to do now is grease up the front.. maybe even the rear too. my question is, if I mark a straight line at the top of the front spring/strut, and line them back up that way when I install them, would I be okay as far as the allignment goes? if I test drive the car and it drives straight when the wheel is straight, can I be certain my car is 'alligned'? also I don't want to screw up the camber.. the rear I can take apart without messing up the adjustment, but the front bolt is eccentric. if I put the bolt back exactly in the position it's resting in now, would the camber remain correct? I think you should be ok, the ends of our springs are ground flat, so I don't really think spring/strut alignment is even a factor.

I've noticed the spring noise is a little bit louder now. I might take mine apart again before I get the alignment. Maybe add some grease between that rubber cushion and the red spring separator. IMO, the double spring design is flawed.
