I’ve just ordered the Eibach ProKit Springs for my 2K2 EX Sedan. I have 17” rims with 215/45’s and would like to know if you think it’s really necessary that I get a camber Kit? These springs will only lower the car about 1”, which is about what I’m looking for, as I do not want to loose to much comfort and drive on bad streets, just get rid of the 4x4 look. Anywone has pics of a sedan with Eibach ProKits installed? What are your comments on the ProKits if slamming is not the objective?

i know slamming isnt what your going for. and you want the ride comfort as stock n everything but i still recommend neuspeed sports. it gives a dropped look but isn't low enough where you have to worry about scraping or whatever. i got them on my coupe and i thought it wasnt low enough, i basically ride it as if it was stock except over speed bumps and steep driveways. but ya this is just my 2 cents... if your still planning on the prokit then you probably wont need a camber kit with it. atleast i wouldnt get one, i'm not even getting one for my neuspeeds. its always recommended tho. and i'm not sure about the prokit on sedans but i know the sportlines dont look too good on sedans cause the rear sits lower then the front. i think the prokit should work fine with a sedan tho cause i heard the prokit is pretty low on the front but very high on the back, on a sedan the drop might be even. but ya i still dont think its low enough to notice its dropped, and your still going to have alot of wheel gap left too...
Thanks VNlilMAN. So I'll take it I really don't need the camber kit with the ProKits. About your recommendation of the Neuspeeds, I already ordered the ProKits, so I'm just going to have to wait and see how much my car lowers and how well the handling improves. Also, I think you're right, the ProKits won't lower my car much, but since I have a wife and 3 kids, It wouldn’t be practical to slam my car to much. I still would like to hear some opinions by members who have the ProKits.
I had the prokit springs on my sedan. The rear sat much lower than the front. I had ~3 finger gap in the front and a 1 finger gap in the rear. It rode great and not too much worse than stock. Obviously, the front dropped ~1inch but the rear must have dropped ~2 inches or so. The rear did need the camber kits. The rear camber was sitting at negative 2.5 degrees on each side. If the rear had dropped an inch it probably could have slid by w/o any camber correction. I didn't like the uneven drop and I wanted a bigger drop, so I went with the neuspeed sport springs. Also, the prokit springs are known for causing "sagging" on the sedan models. Neuspeed differentiates the coupe and sedan springs. I have a perfectly even 1 finger gap at all four corners. Also, the neuspeed sports will require camber kits at least for the rear. The ride is pretty harsh imo, but not too bad. I and the people that ride in the car can definately tell it's lowered by the way it rides. Speed bumps and bumpy drives and parking lots have to be taken at snail pace. It's not a terrible ride and everytime I walk up to my car, I just say damn because she looks so good.
Oh, and if your camber is sitting at negative 2 degrees or more, get the camber kits unless you like replace tires every year.

you probably got the coupe springs.[hr]
eibach onlu makes coupe springs, i guess i'll confirm this after mbow's post. so i guess the only springs for sedan is neuspeed or goldlines... well coilovers are another option too..
VNlilMAN, I ordered my Prokits from Tire Rack, and the description said they are for the "2/4dr" and the Eibach part no. is EIB-4051-140, just as you had specified on your very informative post on springs. So, aparently Eibach feels that their springs fit the coupe and the sedan. Is there really a difference between the coupe and sedan springs?
I just installed the eibach prokit on my 2k1 coupe, and my car needed the rear cambert kit as it was out almost 2.5 degrees. The ride is harsher than stock but the look is fantastic. I will post newer pics soon but I couldnt imagine the drop any lower.
Also in reguards to the drop difference with different models, the rear I dont know about, but for the fronts, the drop will vary depending on the engine, as the Ex motor weighs more than the lx/dx. The springs were probably designed for an ex, so a lx sedan is not going to sit "right"

i know eibach says they're made for both 2 door and 4 door but majority of the people with sedans complain that the rear sits lower then the front. this is obvious cause the sedans weigh much more in the rear then the 2 doors. if you look at eibach springs on a 2 door, the drop is even, imagine you put more weight in the back and of course the rear is going to sit lower. this is why neuspeed and goldline have made 2 seperate springs cause they acknowledged that the sedans weigh more in the rear. but ya dont take my word for it, ask people with eibach springs on a 4 door, i knoe 'mbow' has this problem

How much of a weight difference is there between the LX and EX models? I don't think it would be a significant factor. Also what is the weight difference between an auto and manual tranny?
