Hey wassup...im thinkin about puttin progress springs on my car which has stock wheels and rims (14" i beleive) and i was wonderin if that will be too low...the reason y im doin this is because...i hate the way my car looks wit its ass up in the air...and right now i dont really have enough money for both springs and rims...lol...so i decided to lower my car first and then save up for the 16" rims

I am trying to get some springs right now. Progress i've been hearing 50/50 ratings but if you want a 2" drop the GoldLines are really good from what i hear on the board. They say 1.75 but it settles down to about 2 after a few months. You will definitely need to buy a camber kit though. So tack on another good amount of $$ w/the springs. I'm gonna get the eibach sportlines 1.4" and it looks really good and dont really need a camber kit just maybe new shocks later on. 1.4" gives the car about 1-1/2 finger gap instead of stock about 4 fingers. I just dont wanna get a camber kit but i want my car lower. Hope that helped. Laters!
probably no scraping on the 14in wheel, but maybe on the 16in...but most likely, not at all.. i know a guy with 18in rims with 2in drop..no problems
IMO the progress drop looks ugly. it looks like the back sags alot. n right now i have a stock car dropped on neuspeed sports. doin what your doing except i'm savin for some 18s. hopefully i'll get it within this month but anyways...
i dont scrape at all but the drop just isn't low enough. if your getting a kit 1.7/1.5 drop is koo but i would atleast get a 2" drop. preferably neuspeed race. progress do lower your car 2 inches but ya the drop just looks ugly. if you get 16s you probably will have the same tire diameter or something close to it so it probably wont be any different
I agree with you VNlilMAN, I have progress springs and the look of em is really starting to irritate me. I may be going for yet ANOTHER set of springs. At least they ride good for a 2" drop. I've lightly scraped my body kit a couple times, but with no body kit you should have no problems.
hey wassup....lets say i did lower my car wit the progress...how long will my shocks last before i will need to get it replaced...and oh yeah..thanx for everyones response...it was very helpful...and im sorry for postin this in the wrong forum
I had my Progress for a year and now am finally changing my shocks........Shocks have to be blown in back....When I push on my trunk my car bounces up and down effortlessly.....
exactly how long your stock shocks last on lowering springs depends on how u drive the car, road conditions, etc... but if u drop your ride on them, they will always blow sooner rather than later
anybody got some pics of the drops 1.7, 1.4 and 2" maybe even some 2.5's on stock tires/rims
i wanna drop mine too but i want it to look proper dont want to be pissed because it's not low enough i want people and me to knwo the car
is droped as soon as you see it but i dont wanna have the tire rubbing on anything.
