DC lower rear tie bar question???

on a 2002 civic lx, does the car need to be on a lift to install this? i crawled under the car today, and when i started unscrewing the the bolts, i noticed that the whole bolt was coming out, not just taking off the nut. i put a rear lower bar on my celi, and all i had to do is remove the nut and put the bar on. it looks like it would be unsafe to try to put the bar on without it being on a lift. help please!!! thanx

I just jacked up the rear and put the bar on. Becareful though because the lower arm will move and it can be difficult to realign the holes to put the screw back in. Happened to one side when I installed mine. Just take a pretty sturty screwdriver or bar and use it to push the arm up or down from the inside of the side of the hole(not in the hole where the screw goes) if it moves out of alignment. Remember to tighten everything before bolting down the left side. Good luck...
