SVH motorsports (speed shop inside the Honda dealership near my house) told me that tokico will start making struts for the 2001 + civics starting in september.
so i was misinformed! i canceled the order for the koni's and have ordered some tokico's. they should come in at any time. I CANT WAIT TO TRY TO INSTALL THEM!!
I haven't been told anything about Tokiko.
I understand that KONI is the only one available right now, I've tried everywhere..Including a performance shop at a honda dealership. It would be nice though, I bet they're not nearly as expaensive as KONI's. I was quoted $1300.00 (cdn$) for the front inserts and both rears!
They won't be out til the end of summer. Don't fall for company's like landspeed racing who have been advertising them for the past 6 months with a TBA price.
I want to know if Tokico will ship out front replacement struts. The only reason I haven't been thinking of getting the Koni's (although I hear so many good things about them) is that cutting and drilling of the front struts are needed. Anyone got this information?
who said tokico is coming out at the end of summer? where are you getting this info.?
If anyone has the number to tokico, can you call them and find out for sure?

Ok folks, I talked to tokico on the phone two months ago and a rep at a car show about a month ago. Tokico is in the process of making struts for the 7thgen civic, but because of the differences between the 2k1 and 2k2 it will take them longer. I believe they will be adjustable gas shocks. I was told september is expected release date, but i am sure we won't be able to get ahold of them till november or even january as they will sell out pretty fast and local delears will order a bunch of them and sell them at jacked up prices not on the internet. They will have a shock/spring package (at least that is what the rep said) that will be about 1.5" drop. I am also waiting for them because I want a shock/spring package so right now, I am ridin high! Peace
