I just got my neuspeed sports put on today. They ride almost exactly like stock. This is my first lowered car and am pleasantly surprised at how smooth the ride is. I thought the ride would be harsher than stock but it is not and does not even feel stiffer from the drivers seat.
But thats not say they don't perform, I can now take highway ramps at about 20km/h faster with much less body roll. Its a win-win situation with these springs. Also, there's a dip in the highway (401 in toronto) where my car used to bottom out on stock but it didn't today and was much smoother.
Anyone that doesn't want to drop their ride 'cause they think it will ride rough should get these springs.
Im looking to get the same springs because i hear they r the best in the market but im woundering if I should get shocks with them also or just springs. The dealer by me sell them with the stock shocks but im woundering about them blowing out after 30k miles, and he just wants job security. Anyone else has put shocks and springs or everyone just uses the stock ones.
i got them too about a month ago and they are great! much better than my ground control coilovers. i got mine from tornactive for $160. i think it will be less if you don't live in ca
i have sports with stock shocks and they are pretty confortable but it gets badd on some roads. n it just isn't enough. if your not getting a kit i would recommend the race ones. if you do get a kit sports would be perfect.
sports are probably like .1 inches lower... ya i wish i gotten race. its only like .5 but that .5 makes a big difference n would look perfect... race 2.25 front 2.0 back. sport 1.75 front 1.5 back
1.75 front & 1.5 rear. Make sure if you get a coupe that you get the coupe specific model # (55.20.62)
Update on the ride characteristics:
Like stock on normal roads. If you hit a pot hole though than whoah it makes a strange noise. Not a big deal since you shouldn't drive in pot holes anyways. In bumper to bumper rush hour city traffic it is noticable that its slighty stiffer but nothing bad unless you hit really bad roads. I drove my GF around this afternoon and she didn't notice that it was lowered until she got out of the car, and she rides in it all the time!
In typical driving at normal speeds feels exactly like stock. On the highway it actually rides better than stock IMO.
Basically if they ride well enough that my passengers don't notice its different than it must be smooth.
