Are camber kits needed along with coilovers inorder to drop your Car?

I heard that in order to drop your car you must buy a front and rear camber kit. is this true? I thought you just had to maybe buy new springs and coilovers to drop it a couple of inches and that s it. Whats up with this. Is it really needed?

You need a camber kit to adjust your alignment. Once you lower your car, your wheels will have more negative camber (tilted inward) and the insides of your tires will wear out faster. It is advisable to get an alignment done each time you adjust your coilovers.

A camber kit is highly recommended, but it's not absolutely necessary. You can still lower your car w/o a camber kit, you just won't be able to realign it correctly.

What if you lower your car with springs and decide not to install a camber kit but instead just get the wheels aligned properly after installation of the springs. Would the tires still eventually not be aligned and continue to wear on the insides of the tires?
Thanks
