Do I need an alignment after rear strut replacement?

I have a 2005 Civic LX 4 Door, I am about to replace the rear struts. Is it necessary to have an alignment done after replacing the struts?

Re: Do I need an alignment after rear strut replacement?

As long as you remove ONLY the strut hardware and you don't pull bolts out for the LCA, UCA, or the knuckle, the alignment should not change unless ride height changes significantly.

Re: Do I need an alignment after rear strut replacement?

I am planning on replacing with a quick strut. Just the 2 bolts on top and the one on the bottom. So ok?

i think bottom was two bolts.

lift entire front, remove the sway bar endlink (one end should suffice) or it will resist when you try to reassemble.

It is the rear. Two top, one bottom.

Re: Do I need an alignment after rear strut replacement?

I'm getting ready to do the strut replacement. I am attempting to find out the torque specifications for the bottom one bolt and the two top strut bolts. Can anyone tell me what they are or a location to find out this information? Thanks!

Re: Do I need an alignment after rear strut replacement?

If the strut has a pair of 10mm studs on top, my book shows 43 ft-lb for the nuts on top
if they are 8mm studs then I'd guess 20 ish

and 45 on the bottom bolt

The top has 14mm bolts.

The diameter of the studs sticking up, not the wrench size.
