Lowering 02 Civic

Hey guys, my front suspension needs to be replaced. I have had the thought of lowering my Civic since I got it. However, I don't know if I should because I feel like I would need to replace both my tires/wheels. The previous owner had put 17s on the car. What do you guys recommend? I would like to lower it, but if that means replacing the wheels/tires I will keep with an OEM part and keep the stock ride height.

Re: Lowering 02 Civic

Depends how low you want to go.

I ran 17's with Eibach Sportline springs and didn't have any issues. What offset are the wheels?

Re: Lowering 02 Civic

I have Skunk lowering springs and have 17s w/ low profile tires. The bigger the rim was better than my 15s.

Re: Lowering 02 Civic

i would advise against the ebay camber kit. go with both the Ingals smart arms and camber bolts.

I agree the rear camber arms needed some modifications on mine. The front camber bolts were fine.
