02 Civic EX simple ques.

Will my strut bar from my 93 civic fit my 02 civic? I don't want to rip it out if it won't.

Re: 02 Civic EX simple ques.

I'm assuming it will work as the bar looks to be adjustable. Just wondering if anyone knows something I don't...

I say go ahead and give it a try.
Strut bars aren't too hard to swap out.

Re: 02 Civic EX simple ques.

the only reason why i could see it not fitting is because your 93 has wishbones or coil overs which has two bolts and an 02 has McPherson struts which has three bolts but it might it should only take you a few minutes to check let us know

Re: 02 Civic EX simple ques.

If I were you, I'd bust out the tape measure to see how things line up. I honestly have no idea if it'll fit or not. Measuring it out will give you a rough idea of whether or not it'll fit without having to go through and take it off your 93 just to find out it doesn't fit (if it doesn't). I know it can be a pain in the *** to install some of those, since many times they have to be coerced into place (jacking up one end, yelling at it to fit sometimes, etc.). I'm just trying to save you a potential hassle.

Re: 02 Civic EX simple ques.

Went out today and did some measuring and its looking like a no go.

First off, like jimmy said, the bolt pattern is different so I would have to fashion my own collar to fit, secondly the span is much shorter on my 93 and even though the bar is adjustable I highly doubt I'm not going to get the length I need.

So any recommendations on a brand or is a bar a bar?

Re: 02 Civic EX simple ques.

For the 7thgen, the preferred bar seems to be the neuspeed. I have it and I like it. Single piece design. I think there's one up for sale in the sale forum. Prolly nab it for $100 or so

a chrome one for $100 shipped
Black one, name your price, factor in $15-20 for shipping
Brand new from thmotorsports for ~$160 shipped.
