Tokico Blues

So some people say that Tokico Blues are not good with 2in drops. I am looking into purchasing some blues but my car is dropped about 2in. I am dropped with Progress springs and was wondering if the blues will be ok. To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Re: Tokico Blues

well its not recommended, because the shock is only rated for 1.5 inch max drop. will it still work? yes, but it may not last as long. still a good option for lowered cars. theyre very stiff yet supportive with little bounce.

Ive heard stories of HP's blowing after 2months of use on drops that low

Theres other options for dampers like Koni, Bilstien, D-specs

Re: Tokico Blues

I prefer the tokico over the koni lol. Possibly since the koni's are only rebound adjustable. I would love to see a review comparing the dspecs vs the koni.

Re: Tokico Blues

How are the roads in Northern VA? I thought I'd never blow the konis living in NJ but I was mistaken. I'm not slammed either 1.75 inch drop all around.

Re: Tokico Blues

Konis arent meant to handle more than 1.5" drop on progressive springs. Konis are made for linear-spring rates, like Ground Controls.

there okay not the best I have ever had that for sure there getting worse on the beltway right the moment cause there tearing everything up for the new fastlanes. But dc is only a couple blocks away from me and those road are bad. It'll rough you up in my landrover and knock your teeth out in the civic, I have seen potholes from land mines that were not as bad
