You can't run those springs on either of those shocks. Koni /thread.

^yup... Tokico's seem to blow on drops over 1.5"-1.7" .. get Bilstein or Koni Yellows.

I've had Tokicos on my prokit springs for 2 years n' still going strong

not if you get the d-specs or HTS 508...these can handle a lower drop than the blues

Re: Tokico Blue V.S. KYB GR-2 Question???

depends on what springs do u have, if u have neuspeed sport which was rated 1.5"F 1.75"R, dropped less than 2" arround after settled . you should be fine with either one.

If you have neuspeed race(2.5" drop )......either sell the springs or get some better shocks..lol

From the day I got my pro kit/blues setup my car has just felt mad unstable on rough long island roads...the wheel is always being yanked around when I am on shitty roads. I have Koni's sitting in a box that I am going to be putting in once I cut the OE strut housing....just been lazy.

^yahhh I've noticed that too.. I wonder if it would make much of a difference changing the dampers. I go so slow on my folks bad roads that I will never lose control anyways lol

lol i know what you mean. The dampener has the most affect on ride quality in my opinion. I will let you know once I put the konis in how I feel about it. I hope that fixes the issue cause it makes me hate driving sometimes.

The bilstiens are supposedly the jesus strut/shock....but you pay 500 plus a side on the front, and like 300 dollars per rear....I have only heard great things about it though

Re: Tokico Blue V.S. KYB GR-2 Question???

Ohlins and Bilstein make some good shit if you can get them.

Ryo, Konis may not solve your problem. What size rims/tires are you on and are the tires good or overinflated? I've been in a car with tokicos and they are softer than konis.

proper inflation, 17 inch rims..sidewall is kinda beefy but i dont remember what size the proxies are. Even with stocks it felt like that though to be honest...also seemed like it lost alignment too easily...I have to get alignments like crazy. I also dont mind stiff but there seems to be too much bounce as well when rebounding. Nobody has been able to figure it out.

I was thinking about replacing the tie rod ends if that would help keep the toe correct in the front. The dont really look worn though to be honest....

Re: Tokico Blue V.S. KYB GR-2 Question???

now that I think about it, I got a flat in the rear passenger and it was never right after that, even after switching to the 17 inch wheels and the struts , lower control arms look fine and I had replaced the upper control arms with a camber kit so I dont know what that would have to do with anything. If I knew someone here on the island that knew 7th gen suspension I would ask for help in getting it set up the way I want it but that isn't the case unfortunately. Also the rear pass and driver side dont feel like they rebound the same. Maybe something is blown...who knows. Anyways, im not gonna thread jack...after I install the knoni's if it still doesnt feel right I'll put up a thread with as much detail as possible on how its acting and let people throw their two cents in.
