air ride camber question

i got a question for all the guys who got air ride... i got air ride installed n my car is just about finished n rdy to be on the road.. now i know my tires wont last no where near as long as b4..but is there anything i can do to help my tread life with air bag suspension installed...is it even worth getting a rear camber kit and installing it.. then gettin the rear wheels adjusted at like ?? PSI so it is straight and then just know that your wheels are start at that same psi to reduce treat wear or what? sorry if its a dumb question but im curious as what to do since i got some major camber issues lol

Re: air ride camber question

I think a rear camber kit will help and you can eyeball it. However, the bushings in the camber kit probably aren't made for air ride's constant changing. Additionally, it isn't the rear that you have to worry about it, it's the front. Changing the front's height drastically changes toe, which then will eat tires. You can try to rotate them every 3k miles or so to help. But you chose a suspension that is prone to tire wear so you will have to live with consequences.

Re: air ride camber question

maybe try these tires...

http://www.nittotire.com/#index%2Etire%2Einvo

they are supposed to help with reducing camberware...i dont have air ride...yet lol but my bf does, he was going through tires every 3 months, untill he got these and he has had them for a yr and no issues with them. if you drive your car at a stock ride hight you wouldn't have any problems with camber. since your changing the height of the car with bags at a flick of a swith a camber kit will only help you at certain heights, it wont help all the time therefore it is a waste of money so just don't drive layd out all the time.

Re: air ride camber question

what you do if you have gauges, is once you get it at a comfortable PSI and ride height, eyeball the alignment best you can, then you can go get an alignment, just make sure you tell the mechanic not to adjust your ride height, and you should get close to factory settings.

and when you raise and lower just make sure you check your gauges to see what PSI each corner is at and you will have pretty even wear on your tires.
