A bunch of problems w/ Tein lowering springs on stock struts

Since I got the springs installed, I have the common popping noise when I turn the wheel all the way to the left and back. I was riding like that for over 20k miles before deciding that I want the stock springs back on there, but the guy at the shop said the springs are stuck to the shocks or something and they don't want to force it out cuz it oculd damage the strut. But the springs had this brown rubber sleeving on it so I don't get how it could get stuck?

So now i am still on the tein springs, and I just had my tires changed and got an alignment. Now my steering wheel is a little turned towards the left when the wheels themselves are straight.

I wish I never did anything to my car cuz it's giving me so many problems. How do you think I should fix fix these problems with as little cost as possible?

i don't understand how the springs would get stuck to the shocks. never heard that before. the shop probably did not index the shocks correctly when installing. check out this link to better understand what they did. Do It Yourself Spring Install - Detailed Info & Pics

Yea the shop installed the springs in reverse and placed the top on the bottom, i have tein s tech springs i did them myself, i have the height its still to hight, you should get money back from the shop if possible

If your steering wheel is not straight after your alingment. take your car back to them. they didnt lock the steering wheel straight when alinging the car. they should fix it.

speedricerx gave you pertinent information about the indexing of a spring in the strut. do a search and it should come up

im sure its not the spring that is the problem...as noted, its most likly the installer installed it wrong....

i since ur struts are blown, going back to stock would be senseless...because you would then have to buy new OEM struts to replace ur blown OEM ones...

id suggest you buy tokico BLUES and use youre teins on there...

and find a shop that knows how to install springs...or DIY

Put a flashlight into the wheel well and take a look at the TEIN letters in white on the springs. See if it's right side up or upside down, that'll tell you.
