Is there a smooth-riding (as smooth or smoother than stock) aftermarket lowering spring/shock setup out there? I don't want to sacrifice the stock ride. The stock suspension already rides like a typical (under $20K) economy car, so I can't imagine how rough-riding Race or even Prokit springs would feel.
Why lower your car if you can't drive a 600 mile day comfortably?
Why get rims if you can't lower your car? (fender gap sucks)
Thanks in advance.

Aren't most coilovers rough riding? I remember a previous post w/replies with a pretty unanimous opinion that all coilover suspensions may lower the car well but ride rough as sh*t...
I have read posts that say that the Eiback Prokit's ride was "too hard" for their daily commute, and numerous "hard ride" comments on the Ground Control coilovers.
Looking for a smooth ride, and 1" lowering. No such thing?
I have Konis and ground control. It rides pretty smooth but I heard it will ride a lot smoother with springs and Konis. Just don't slam your car to the ground and it shouldn't ride too rough.
I now have the ProKit and Konis on for about 3 weeks. I have them on an EX automatic. The ride at the lowest setting on the Konis is better than stock, cause you don't get that extra soft bounce. You can turn the shocks up till it's stiff as a wagon and really go around corners. I don't think you will find a better setup and the loweing is about an inch. Also it did not need shims or anything to line up.
I'm ordering my Koni adjustables installed for $650. I hope its worth it because it really sucks to sit in my backseat with my stock shocks and 2" drop..
I don't think you'll regret going with the Konis. I keep my rears set on the softest and the fronts set on half way. I don't hardly ever have any weight in the back.
