People with coilovers please answer!!!!

i just got coilovers installed, and i want to know if the ride is supposed to be hard...its mainly in the back though. it feels like there is no shock absorption at all if i hit a bump or pothole. it blows. can anyone say if this is normal or if i just got sh*tty coilovers. THey are OBX. thanks all To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Depends on how much drop you have, which determines how much suspension travel you have left.

Wait, you have OBX coil overs. Nevermind, thats your problem(most likely). Get yourself a set of Ground Controls. And them some Koni struts. And some Ingalls camber kits. Then tell me how your suspension is doing.

It has been said a million times in the past. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I learned the hard way and went with cheap coilovers and had a crappy ride. Much happier with my Neuspeed sports springs. It may not look as good or be as low but now I can at least drive down the road and not bounce all over the place.

I think when you drop your car too much the strut doesnt have enough play that it keep hitting the bump stop

the stiffer, the better...otherwise you'll scrape. And you need different struts and a camber kit, otherwise you'll blow your struts and you'll have to buy new tires every month.

1.7" and 1.5"?? Thats all?? I went for 2.75" and 2.5". Stock struts and shocks too. Haven't even got a canber kit. The camber is only out 1 deg front and 1.4 deg rear. Nothing to worry about really soon.

Yup, that's it. Do not put OBX suspension problems on your car. They suck bigtime. Past experiences.
