Quick question. How can the mount bolts become loose the shock changing camber? I have an 03 with B+G coilovers and the bolt holes drilled to fit the 16mm bolt. I haven't experienced anything but was just curious as to how something like you've mentioned might happen?
He's talking about people using the 14mm crashbolts so they fit the shocks, while the holes in the knuckle are still 16mm. It leaves slop in it, the first pothole you hit, they're gonna move.
Simply out of my own curiosity, has anyone thought about making an insert for the 16mm knuckles that makes it a 14mm hole? Just a metal bushing? Kinda seems like it would have been the worlds easiest solution to this problem.

this would be a more efficient solution than drilling. never thought of it that way... you're a genius boilermaker.

I think the new KYBs or Tokico's are coming with them if they are ordering them for a 03+. There is a metal piece that fits in there to prevent sliding.

I'm glad you mentioned this. I never thought about the size of my camber bolt. I ordered it and it sayed 01-up. Then this morning, I was looking at the SPC site and saw that they had different sizes. Then I realized, when my friend installed my B+G, he said he only had to drill the bottom bolt holes. So I just ordered new front camber bolts for 2003-up 16mm from ptuning.

I just ordered the KYB's for my 03 from www.tirerack.com. If you select vehicle and put in 2003 Civic, the KYB won't even show up for a result of choices. I'm just gonna drill the bolt holes to fit the 16mm. I know there hasn't been any detailed reviews on this yet but I will def. follow up on them with full details. I know there's still lots of questions to be answered about the AGX's.
What's a good shock for the stock springs? Yes stock springs... I live in ohio and we just got about a foot of snow in one day, my car is already at snow plow stance adn my drive way is 600feet up hill, I need snow tires just to make it up it. SO lowering the car is a bad option. I was just wondering if anyone had put new struts on while retaining the OEM springs, or should I say ride hieght, I'm looking into geating a custom sett of springs made, stiffer but the same ride hieght.
I think Eibach has springs that might suit your needs. I think they have a set that lowers it like 0.3in or something like that. Its close to stock height with a stiffer rate. I'm not too sure so don't take my word for it.

Yes, aftermarket shocks with stock springs are completely fine. I would stick with the tokico blues if you aren't racing. You don't need the dampening adjustability. The KYB GR-2s would be a good second choice.

has any companies made any shocks/struts specifically for the 2003+ civics?
No, not that I know of. Why would they? When they figure out the difference and people want them anyway, then people will figure out a way to make them fit. I heard either KYB or Tokico was going to but I don't know if that happened. Konis are for all years, you just have to measure the shock body size.
Cocky, what question are you asking?
