I was one of the 2 that got the Hayame coils directly from SPW. They're great! To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Impulse, read the FAQ in my sig. Coilovers are an adjustable spring with an integrated shock. Before you buy anything, please do your research. Suspension stuff is expensive and you don't want to regret buying something that you don't like.

got mine today but i wont be installing it anytime soon since its cold and i dont have a garage. from the looking at the coilover it looks like hayame put a lot of thought into making these. the 3 lock nut is a bit confusing. what is the bottom one for and how does the other two adjust ride heigh by lowering the whole structure and not just the spring? i tried playing around with it and it seems that the only thing that goes up and down is the spring itself.

I bought them right now. Hopefully I'll have them by monday. Do I have to do my alignment right after I install the suspension, or can I wait a bit?

I'm not feeling every crack/pebble on the road but my car does feel cracks. this is due to my 18s tho. I used to cringe going 15 mph in certain dips but now i can go 35mph without feeling it much. So ya the cracks depends on your tires but bigger things the coilovers will help with.

xmeeksx, if you read a few of my posts you'll see what everything is. I explained it a couple times. To sum it up, the bottom one is the one thats going to be used to lower/raise the car. The other two are simply there to keep a preload on the springs. Right now it may only seem like the springs move up down but if you put more pressure on it say like a 2 thousand pound car, than you'll see the shocks/springs compressing.

tripledoublegs, its better to wait a bit. Play around with it for a couple weeks and see what setting you like it at because once you adjust it again the alignment is going to be off. So ya just set it and make sure thats what your going to set it at, then get an alignment

the nuts are used for the top mounts... You can use your stock ones or you can use the ones it came with. I never got any bolts other than the ones that are attached to it.
The two tools that came with it.. thats what your going to use to tight/loosen the locknuts. Just tighten things by hand first than use the two tools to make it even tighter

1) Hayame was backorderd on the 01 Civic application from August to November. I checked with all the Hayame distributors trying to find this application during that time and everybody was sold out. In November Hayame got ~20 sets of the 01 Civic in. We bought 15 of those. Since then we have also had 2 sets shipped to customers directly from Hayame. I talked to them this afternoon and they have 1 set left. This means there have only been 2 sets bought by other distributors unless they still have some left over from before August which I doubt but I guess it is possible. I think we have 6 sets in stock right now. Hayame doesn't know when they will be getting more 01 Civic in but they aren't back in production so saying they started making them tomorrow it would take 2 weeks to manufacture and prepare to ship then another 3-5 weeks to ship from the factory.

2) Our rep could find no record showing that Dezdod buys from them or that they are an authorized Hayame dealer which means the 1 yr warranty we offer on our kits is not valid will not be honored if purchased through someone who is not an authorized dealer.

We have the coilovers in stock, they ship out the same day your order is placed, no group buy needed and have a warranty.
Hey Mike,
We are dealing with Hayame's direct USA exclusive master distributor, names need not to be revealed. (not necessary) We have a dealer account with them that we set up shortly after the SEMA show. I spoke to 2 different reps there and they both confirmed that 2 weeks ago they had several in stock, so I think you need to find facts before jumping to conclusions with accusations, or confront the source. No hard feelings though, I know it is all about the sales.

Edit: I am merely testing interest at this point to see if this is even worth it, hence the post in GB wanted, where VENDORS of this site can generate interest fro GBs. Besides, what your doing is a on here. Pay the dues and support the site. Besides, we are quite legit, our rep, service and quality speaks for itself. Thanks for your time.

Paul

Hi all, I went to put the HAyame system on and the fronts bolted right but the rear is giving me trouble. The bottom of the strut that you bolt into through the control will not fit in space in the center of the control arm. In other words I have to shave about 2-3 mm off the Hayame strut on the end that is not threaded to make it fit onto the rear control arm. Why is this happening? Did anyone else have this problem?

Paul,
I apologize, I didn't mean to reflect negatively on your business ethics. I hear complaints about companies all the time from my customers but have never heard any complaints about your company. When I talked to Hayame they had no record of you ever placing an order with them, that’s why I was confused as to how you were getting them. You are correct in stating that 2 weeks ago they had "several" in stock. That was 2 weeks ago, they have since been sold. I know from both a vendor and customers point of view it is frustrating to be sold something that is not in stock.
As far as my presence on this site I came here after a customer sent me a link to a thread where people were asking questions about the Hayame coilovers. I answered their questions and people bought the product from me. I'm sorry if you feel I have been blatantly advertising as I don’t feel I have. I admit I have generated sales from this site but have never felt the need for a group buy. If you think I should be paying fees for being here let me know what you think is fair and who to send it to.

Michael
