well i just finished changing the rotors and pads (brembro blanks...pbr/axxis ultimates) and things went pretty smoothly once we started using air tools. i weighed the stock rotors and they weighed the same as the brembros, 11.5 lbs each. so no weight reduction there in case anyone was still wondering. tommorow i will hopefully change the fluid and take my car out for a spin. no there is no need to mess with that nut unless you are installing new axles, removing the spindle or any other things under the rotor.

For those that have a Torque Wrench, the torque specifications for the two inner bolts(the ones that when removed allow the caliper to be removed from the wheel) is 79.6 ft lbs.

i will be attempting this DIY here in a few mins. im alittle nervous about running into probs and not knowing what to do. so everybody pray for a fellow 7thgen member to pull through this with flying colors. also do i absolutely need to bleed the brakes??? cuz that sounds kinda complicated for all 4 brakes since i will be alone.

i didn't bleed the brakes when i did it. the whole process is pretty easy, but i highly highly suggest getting an impact screw driver if you don't have one. it took me 15 minutes to do one side when i had the impact screwdriver and it took me hours to do it without it.

If you are alone, and dont have a 1 person brake bleeder kit, then you cant do it. You dont have to bleed the brakes if you dont open the system up, but it would be a good idea to go ahead and have it done if you have fluid that has been in there for along time. Overtime, the boiling point of the fluid will decrease and more moisture will build up in the fluid and cause problems. Also dirty fluid can cause parts to wear out faster. Its pretty easy to do as I bleed my friends brakes with another person for the first time several weeks ago on his wifes car.

I will be replacing my brakes this weekend and do I absolutley need this impact screw driver? Can I do it with a normal driver or is it going to be tightened too much?
