Changing Lug Pattern???

I know our cars have a 4x100 lug pattern, but my friend has some awesome rims with almost brand new tires that he will sell me really cheap. They are a different lug pattern though. My question is is there any way to change the lug pattern to fit a different rim. Can I replace the part that has the lug pattern on it or is what I want totally impossible.

I don't know the details, but they do exist. Very expensive, though and not really worth it from all I've heard.

You can do it, but it is a bit cost-prohibitive. By bit I mean a lot.

Not totally impossible but expensive and time consuming. You would have to have the rotors and drums drilled for the new pattern, assuming there is metal where the holes need to be drilled, and new studs pressed in. All of this would have to be accomplished at a competent machine shop. You couldnt just drill them out with a hand drill. I personally wouldnt waste my time.

it certainly would be possible, but [if done correctly] it would most likely cost almost as much as buying some sweet rims brand new

yeah it cost a lot, but you could use wheel adapters but then you'd notice a change in your ride (rides different, not a good different) cuz i did that long time ago same situation as you and I ended up sellin the wheels

Changing the pattern may cost you more than you save on the wheels.
