| A sad story:
I was driving up to Vegas. Looking for a little R & R. At the last moment I noticed something in the road but could not swerve fast enough to avoid it. I heard a loud pop and felt the car immediately start pulling.
Turns out I ran over a brake pad. It had completely punctured the tire. Low profile tires have stiffer sidewalls. Even though the tire had a 3 inch long cut in it, the tire did not shred. And since the vehicle had a much less amount to drop, the car did not swerve too much, just really pulled to the right.
This was the only blow out I ever had, and it was pretty tame. I threw on my spare and went to get another tire. The rim did not even sustain any damage. |
