I have the rota subs on stock tires. They are silver and obviously 15in in size. You said you want 17s so a pic of my ride wouldn't give you an accurate representation. I will gladly post or email you a pic if you would like though.
Damn....I have 17" Konig Sub Zero's on my ride, but I don't have a digital camera.....I do have some pics of them, but they're not developed yet. Hence the reason my members ride profile isn't up to date with recent pictures. They look real sweet, but get the center caps. I have red center caps on my coupe and it looks tight. If I can get someone with a digital cam to do some pics, I'll get them up for you. They give the car a rally look...really looks like a racer with these wheels.
<< those 15s look great. hmmm... i just may have to look into getting a set. >>
Thanks! To be honest they look better in the picture than in person. Because of the black car you can't see the big sidewalls of the tires. It's nothing like having 17s or even 16s on the car. However, I saved a lot of weight over the stock steelies, ride composure has stayed the same, they are inexpensive, and they helped improve acceleration. They have little carbon-fiber looking caps in the center which you can't see in the picture. The rota subs and konig subs are copys of the Racing Hart Cp-035 if you didn't know. The rotas only come in 15 and 16 to my knowledge. The rotas weigh just over 12lbs for the 15s and 14.5lbs for the 16s. My setup weighs in at 30lbs for the wheel and tire which is at least 10lbs lighter than stock. The konigs are very heavy and I would stay away from them if you are looking for something lightweight.
The main reason I bought the rims was because of their light weight. I would have rather had forged but they are just too expensive.
Yep, the 17s weigh in at 17lbs which is decent. But remember, that 17in tire will weigh at least 21lbs. The 15s are about, if not the same, as the rota subzeros. I would venture to say that one of them makes the wheel and they just put a different label on them.
Check out this site if you are interested in the weights of different wheels.
