Wheel lock security

So i just spend $35 for wheel locks for my new wheels which comes in a set of 4, 1 for each wheel. Will would-be theives still be able to steal my wheels or will this wheel lock without the key deter them from being able to take it off my ride? Thanks all... They will help with your casual thief. However, if someone wants those wheels and knows what they are doing, your wheel locks won't mean a thing.

Your suppose to lie to me and say they will protect me against everything so i can sleep comfortably at night!
Eventually I'll get an alarm but even those won't safe guard me against a professional theif.
Anyone know how much the pager alarms cost and the install cost on them are?
I saw an ad in a Performance Auto & Sound magazine which is a canadian magazine that I saw on spring break up there but our newstands don't carry it in Seattle.

the wheel locks are pretty safe....basically thugs that wanna steal the wheels are gunna have to hammer the lock off and prolly end up breaking the wheel

Midknightz the alarm system you are talking about are cheap here in my country. They costed a friend of mine $240. They come with a remote control that can do allot (open windows and sunroof using the remote). It even comes with sensors that are fitted all around the car: doors and windows, trunk, engine hood, 4 wheels and even the sunroof, so who whoever tries to get into your car or steal from it will get a deep sonic wave into his ears and run away. Hehehe i do mean he will be scared and run when the alarm is set on. There are many wheel theifs here in Oman and my friend got these nice Accord 16" wheels and one one was stolen after 1 week of installation. he got really pissed and went back like 1000 miles to get one wheel and this secutity alarm system to stop these freaks!!!!

you may have 4 wheel locks, but there not all different,......
get at least 2 DIFFERENT locks,....and then a TILT sensor w/ your alarm.........
so when somone trys to jack up your car to take the wheels off the sensor senses it and the alarm goes off.....better than nothing.....and a 9mm.....your set....
but yes, if someone wants it bad enough, they'll get it......
its just that some obstacles might help out a little......

Some sort of paging alarm is a must nowadays with alarms going off all the time. It's a wonder it hasn't caught on like wildfire. Jeez, some peoples mufflers are so freaking loud and ricey that they'll set off some alarms that have their settings set to sensitive. I would just like one that has the shock sensors to protect my new wheels and something on both front windows because thats a common way of theives breaking in. I guess a battery killer would help in case they tried to drive off in my ride.

Check out McGard's Spline-Drive Lug Nuts . That's what I'm going with. It's pretty much the equivalent of putting a wheel lock on every lug. And they come in different colors!!!
