Caliper piston boot - Replace? (photos)

I'm doing pads and rotors right now and discovered a caliper piston boot in not so awesome condition, I don't see any leaks, but do you advise a rebuild to replace boot and seal?

Given that there is a pretty large price difference between a new caliper and a boot kit, why do you think it would be worth a whole new caliper?

They are rusty and worn as hell and most likely the calipers will freeze soon anyway, while they are off I would replace them.

For safety equipment it's best not to skimp.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

If after thoroughly researching the project you are willing to try to rebuild your own caliper with all new seals, go ahead and try it. However if the piston has corrosion, you may be needing more than just seals.

I'd check out the local parts stores for a rebuilt caliper, and be done with it.

NOTE: The other side caliper probably has just as many miles and just as much wear and tear, see if you need it too.
General rule of thumb on brake work is to replace brake parts in pairs or sets (meaning do the same things on both sides of the same axle).
