Re: 02 rsx-s brakes on 01 civic

did you want to install the suspension before the motor? i would advice you to just wait it out. You will need the half shaft from the type S motor anyways when u swap.

might as well as do it all at once

well you still need custom axles.. just take the outer cv joints of the rsx-s and put them on your civic shafts

no point of getting custom axles if he's going to be swapping in the type S motor in. He can just use the type S axles at that point.

Re: 02 rsx-s brakes on 01 civic

ok ya i am getting the motor and all the parts and motor are all from the same car my buddy is helping me out and holding the motor and everything that is coming with it, and the type-s half-shafts came with all the suspension parts. ok so the type-s half-shafts wont fit into my 1.7L tranny? and ya i did want to do the 5 lug swap befor the motor swap just to do it, it would give m something to do over the weekend hahaha but if i should wat i can. it wont be long for me to get the motor anyways

Re: 02 rsx-s brakes on 01 civic

no the rsx shafts will NOT fit on the d17 transmission, hence custom axles needed

Re: 02 rsx-s brakes on 01 civic

You should just wait since you will need the type s axles but if you had the base rsx brakes they would bolt right up and u can just change the calipers & rotors for the type s ones

Try searching more this topis has been covered many times.
