Maximum Section Width (for a stock wheel well)

On an EM2 with OEM 63874 or 71717 15 spoke 15x6" wheels, the recommended tire size is 185/65-15. My question is, just how wide can I go before I start to rub against the wheel-well or other components? The Civic based Acura LE sold with a stock 195/65/15 tire on a 15x6 wheel, so I feel pretty safe at that level. But what about a 205?

Just to clear a few things out of the way:
- Since I'm sizing up the difference in odometer readings plays in my favor on resale.
- Any loss in torque is accecptable
- I have no plans to lower the car or change the suspension or breaks.

According to Toyo's website, my 215/45/17 are 8.4in wide and 205/65/15 would only be 8.1 according to Yokohama. My tires never rub.

Re: Maximum Section Width (for a stock wheel well)

1) How low are you?
2) How low do you want to be?
3) How much negative camber are you willing to run?
4) Are you willing to get your fenders rolled?

Thanks. The tires I'm looking at run 8.2" at 205 on a 15x6 rim.

I want to LOOK as generic as possible to avoid unwanted attention. No lowering, no wide fenders, no crazy body kit, 15" wheels.

Re: Maximum Section Width (for a stock wheel well)

Well if you're staying at stock height, you'll be able to run a rather large range of sectional widths. On a 15x6" wheel however, I would go no larger than 205mm.
