Exclamation Nitto NeoGen ZR, comments?

Anyone ever use Nitto NeoGen ZR tires?

im going for some 215/40ZR-17 XLs and they look bad ass and the reviews are off the charts.

just wanted to see if anyone else has anything on em?

or even better, if u know of a better tire to fir my 17x7 wheels?

going for some bronzes to fit my black sedan... gonna be sweet... and then im gonna drop about an inch or 1.5... *drools*

Re: Nitto NeoGen ZR, comments?

Get them they are awesome tires I ran them on my 17's but they didn't come in 205/45/17 and the ride was too bumpy so I got some Falkens instead.. The Nittos grip the road crazy though, but the 205/40/17 is a bumpy ass ride

Re: Nitto NeoGen ZR, comments?

so they grip well, but are bumpy?

hmm...

well, that is to be expected with a 17'' wheel... just need a really nice suspension i guess.

anyone know what size tire would be the best for comfort, grip and looks?

im semi new to the tire world and cant tell too much of a differance between tires. lol

like, 215/40/17 and 205/45/17 or 205/45 etc. etc. its confusing! lol

ProjectMayhemR will become famous soon enough
Re: Nitto NeoGen ZR, comments?

Yes Neogens grip very well, better than my yokohamas and cheaper. the bumpyness is just due to smaller tire than stock.

Comfort- stock
Grip- who knows? quicker acceleration- lighter wheel and tire, or stock
Looks- to each his own. I prefer 16 and 17 inch myself

Re: Nitto NeoGen ZR, comments?

I've got em and love em. Running 215/45/17. Low road noise, good comfort for a performance tire, excellent grip in wet and dry.

HE SAID they were bumpy because he was running lower profile tires than you...

40 side wall, and a 45 sidewall does make a difference, especially if you have a stiff suspension.

its really not all that confusing, first number is the width of the tire, the second is the legnth of the tire from rim to end of tire, and the last number is the size rim.

for example, 205/45/16 is a BIG BIG BIG difference from 215/50/16

although the 2nd one is "just" a little wider, and "just" a little thicker...the tire looks very differnt.
