Re: 5lug without a k-swap and with out custom axles!

wheels look nice, but the "A" cap kills it. if you're happy with it, that's what matters, but i don't think it's worth the cost. props for trying something different though. others will learn from this.

looks sexy. I personally would've did the same thing if I didn't have my swap =). I got my type s 5 lug set up waiting to go in. good job on showing people that said you couldn't do it.

$200 is still too much for what you got, IMO. i doubt that included the required 5 lug wheels either. at any rate, $200 still isn't worth it for me. i think that $200 would be better spent towards some better rotors like brembos and some Hawk pads or something. i think you can get good enough looking 4 lug wheels that 5 lugs "just for looks" is a waste. it would be different if you had gone with all type-S stuff for better performance. unless you're racing though and drastically need better braking, this is all a waste IMO. i'm looking at upgrading my brakes, but it's for autocross and running road courses. for everyday driving, upgraded brakes aren't needed.

what are u talkin about, people spend 400 on the type-s swap and the rims go for 250 alone so what are u talkin about thats 650 already, if am going to run or use it as a daily driven its going to benefit me ethier way, 200 is what i spent on my 5 lug with, pads and rotors, unless u work at the power plant and steal the parts or get it dirt cheap then i can see ur point, and did i ever say i was going to turn my car into a drag???... no, so before u go openin ur mouth about ur pointless opinion think it over, oo and by the way..

$400 for a type s swap would be worth it for the added performance. that's the point you seemed to miss in my last post. you spent $200 and still used some of your stock parts. no increase in performance there. you could have gotten a set of Brembo Blanks, and Hawk pads for less than $200 shipped and it would have been a lot better performance than what you wound up with. and i never said anything drag racing. you don't really need anything besides stock for drag. if you go back and read my post i was talking about autocross and road racing. even autocross will be alright with stock equip for the most part. now road racing is a different story.

but look dude, i said in my first post

it's your car, you said it was what you wanted to do, so you shouldn't care what other people think. it's obvious that you do though. this is a public forum. the only thing that will keep people from posting their opinion is if you don't start the thread in the first place. if you post a thread, people are going to share their mind whether you like it or not.

if you and him would read my posts, i gave him props in my first one. as i just told him. this is a public forum. people are going to post their opinions whether you ask for them or not. and no, i'm not going to negative rep you. that would be childish.
