Rep Power: 273 TIRE GUYS!!!Need help for picking new all-season tire for stock rims
Ok, Ill try and explain everything so you dont have to ask questions along the way. Right now, I have the stock Firestone 185/65/15 tires that came with my civic. Now that they are worn out completly after 60xxx kms. So now I am looking for a new all season for my alloys. I have about between 600-800 CANADIAN DOLLARS to spend on them. I am looking for something that is a LITTLE bit more lower profile, but not that much, because I am still on stock height, so I dont want that much of a bigger gap than i have now, but I would also like a little wider than before. I am looking for something that has good snow traction because right now, this sucks driving around in tires and just slide. I have also seen that they have directional all-seasons. I dont know if those are any good, so this is why im asking you, cause I dont know ANYTHING bout tires. I also want a tire that handles nice on the street in summer. Im sure there is something in a all-season that meets these demands. Thanks alot for whoever finds a tire for me. Oh yea, also, I DONT want another firestone!

Rep Power: 261 first thing you should do is buy steel rims and put winter tires on them. Get toyo proxes 4's for the summer. All season tires suck in the winter. My winter tires handle better in snow, dry, or wet traction than my stock potenza's.

CHEAP. Impressive all season tire. Great in winter. Respectable ratings on TireRack.
I put a set of 205-60-15 on my g/f's 03 EX coupe. She commutes about 100 miles a day total to and from work. Never had a problem in winter. Slightly noisy on some road surfaces, but that could be due to keeping them a few pounds under max pressure. $44 per tire from TireRack. Discount Tire and Sears also sell them.
I have a pair of 185-60-14 on my non-7thgencivic to follow my Yokohama Guardex 600 snow tires. Predictable breaking point on snow and ice. $37 per tire from TireRack.
If you are looking for a performance tire, look elsewhere. If you are looking for a low priced all season tire, they are worth a look.

Rep Power: 0 As I recommended any stock 195 60 15 will do ya, you may want to talk to the service tech at honda in your area. my brother asked them, they told him to go with michelins on his 92 vx.

Rep Power: 0 Yeah I put Falken Ziex 512s in a 205/60/15 and they are fantastic all season tires. Slide around a bit in the snow but in rain they are amazing. It was like a whole new car coming from Firestones.

Get some cheapo snow tires 185-75 on some steel rims for the winter. The taller and skinnier the better, as far as snow goes, then get yourself some sticky summer tires for your stock rims.

Like I said above, we have a lot of success with these, we stock and sell a lot of them.
