What kind of tires do Porsches and Ferraris and Lambos come with?

Just curious? Do they use regular tires or do they have some super special tire? I heard that when NSXs came out you had to replace the tires every 8,000 miles. I guess if you can afford an NSX you can afford to do that, too. To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Nost Ferraris and Lambos come with Pirellis, the Enzo has a specific tire... Bridgestone RE050 Scuderia I think its called. 285 fronts, 335/30/19 rears IIRC, I don't want to know how much it costs. Porsches, I'm not sure. I think a lot come with Michelins, but I'm sure there's some variation. They just have super high performance tires on them, any of which would wear out in 10K or so, even on your Civic... its the price you pay for super glue like adhesion. Most of them can probably be bought off the shelf.

Yeah one of my autocross buddies has a 91 NSX, he says that they come from the factory with a special Potenza (or Yokohama depending on year) that the suspension is actually optimized for to take advantage of that tires specific slip angle etc. Not to metion they have 15s up front and 16s out back

Silly Honda always over engineering things
