Rep Power: 0 I need new rotors and brake pads?
so i went to honda and it looks like my rotors had heat spots and they are to deep for them to take them out (resurf.) so they charge 365.00 for everything (pad and rotors) and my buddy there can get it down to 230.00 installed, so what should i do? i was thinking aftermarket like hawk and power stop something like that........have any advise?

Rep Power: 0 I got an AEM Big Rotor Kit for sale. I also have a set of AEM brake pads. Both of these are BRAND NEW. PM me if you're interested. It'll definitly be cheaper then buying the stock parts.

Rep Power: 356 Pick up a Brembo Blank Rotor, and a good High temp pad. You dont want a dirlled or slotted rotor if you are dealing with heat issues, they remove metal form the rotor and that actually increases opperating temps.
Hawk HP+ is good to 800F
Hawk Black is good to 900F
Axxis ultimate is good to 1000F
Hawk Blue is good to 1000F
EBC greenstuff is good to 1022F
Porterfield R4-S is good to 1100F (This is what I have)
EBC redstuff is good to 1380F
Hawk HT-10 is good to 1600F
Porterfield R4 is good to 1600F
If you are still running in to heat problems after that then a set of brake ducts may be in order. I dont recomend oversized rotors unless absolutly nessisary.

Rep Power: 356 well, you'll want a good vented rotor. Like Brembo blank (avoid drilled rotors) Slotted would be ok, but wont help your heat problem as much as a blank rotor. (Less mass = more heat) then going with a high performance pad like one of these

how hard are you on your brakes? For moutain running you'd probably want somethign good to at least 1000F possibly higher (as you get better and faster your going to use the brakes harder = more heat/nessisity to get a higher temp pad).

Rep Power: 356 Not sure, you'd have to look around.
My porterfields were $89 for pads. High performance isnt cheep.

Rep Power: 356 Looks like they are selling EBC green and hawk HP+ pads, though for some reason the Hawks are more expensive (being a lower temp pads then the GReenstuff) wierd.
for the rotors, so long as they aren't drilled they are ok, if you really are having bad heat problems then I'd suggest not getting slotted either.
