Due to all the recent negative experiences with certain online wheel stores, I'm gonna start this sticky thread so that other members can avoid getting shafted by the same places.
Please post your reviews here of online wheel stores ... GOOD and BAD.
Some stuff you can include in your post :
- delivery times
- condition of wheels on arrival
- shipping cost
- whether you got what you asked for
- whether you would buy again from them
- customer service
- etc. etc.
1010tires.com
9 Days from Vancouver to Indiana (Including customs clearance)
4 rims in factory boxes w/ all hardware
$56 for shipping of rims only (I think $14 each is fair)
Absolutely what I asked for
I recommend them... just keep an eye on the exchange rate. Sometimes the prices in US are good, sometimes not.
Tire Rack
Well, its Tire Rack... they're just awesome.
www.whalentire.com
cant ask anything better,
shipped out next day. and gave me tracking numbers.
i recommend them. excellent shipping, fast email replys. good customer service.
10/10
www.WheelMax.com
Now I know people say that wheelmax sux but Ive had a pretty good experience with them. shipping is free and they have fairly good prices.
Customer service could be better, you have to call them to find out the tracking info on your wheels. (they dont give tracking #'s)
I ordered My wheels and they arrived 10 days later as promised.(from FL to MD)
The wheels came wrapped properly and in excellent condition with all hardware included.
I know my experience with them is rare, Ive heard horror stories about wheel max. But on this occasion they did a pretty a good job. I probably would buy from them again.
Loved their customer service!!! They're very helpful on the phone while ordering and fast replies through e-mail if you had any questions. Plus, the guy who took my order (Eric), followed up with an e-mail to inform me that my wheels were sent and included FedEx tracking numbers.
Took about a week and a half to two weeks to receive wheels. Two rims/tires per box, 2 boxes. Everything was included in perfect condition. Shipping for me was 100 bucks, but that all depends on where you live.
I would say it is a good company....good prices...
When I ordered my rims they sent me the wrong ones first
When I called they set-up a truck to come and pick them up and ship them back for free.
Once I told them that the truck came they shipped me the right ones.
The only bad thing I have against them is that it is hard to get a hold of someone there at times. took about half a week for first set to come then another week for second.
17" Hurricane Wheel Package (Racing Hart C2 Evo Replicas)
$549 + $40 for upgrade to 215/45/17 tires + $60 mounting, balancing, and lugnuts= $650 shipped
-Ordered on Sunday Night, Got them on Friday the same week.
-Wheels were wrapped nicely in 4 separate boxes with bubble wrap
-Shipping was Free
-For 17" they look kinda small, but it's probably because of the size of tire, it's a 17" rim no matter what though, so I can't really complain
-Definitely buy from them again. They have the best prices on the net, competing with Wheelmax, but they have bad stories.
-Ordering was easy over the phone, and he didn't insist that I buy all these extras that would raise the price up.

I have had the same experience, they said 7 days to ship from FL to TX, got them in 6 days. I purchased some 17's, Silver Exel Ennio's, with Ventus HRII's, 215/40's. I had no problems, the finish is not the best on the wheels, but pretty good for what you pay. I am pretty picky about things, but have no complaints with my dealings with them.
The Tire Rack is the king of customer service and has the number 1 website for information on tires. In the past 3 years I've placed six orders for tires, struts, etc. -- spent almost $1,800
Shipping Cost: Actual UPS or Fedex charges will be computed on Tire Rack website
Shipping Time: You receive e-mail confirmation of shipment & tracking number
Condition: Always packaged appropriately
Buy Again: Of course
This is the most confusing deal on the internet, but I use them anyway! If you log on to the Import Hookup website, they have links to vendors that they have made special deals with. One of those companies is Wheeloptions--just follow the ordering instructions when you find a wheel you like. I have placed 2 orders with them valued at $3,350
Shipping Cost: No charge
Shipping Time: 2 weeks
Condition: Came in the original Rays Engineering Japanese Boxes
Customer Service: They act like they have a computer, but it seems to be down a lot lease: When I asked for shipping information, they didn't give me the tracking number. They looked up the UPS info, then came back on the phone and said "the wheels will be there Wednesday." It was true - the wheels showed up that Wednesday, but customer service gets 2 stars out of 5.
Buy Again: I bought twice, so I guess the answer is yes
I order some Giovanna kugis form them and it sucked it was suppose to be hyperblack but it's not... they jsut spray painted the front and the finsh sucks bad..... do not buy there
good selestion
decent prices
exactly what i wanted
3 day free shipping form florida to pennsylvania
was able to easily upgrade my tires in my package.
very good customer service
emailed me as soon as the transaction went through, as soon as they shipped them, and as soon as they arrived to find out if i was satisfied
came with everything i needed
came in individual boxes wrapped up in foam, arrived in perfect condition
had one lug outta the 16 was a wrong size, they sent me another overnight.
another plus is that they are available till 11 pm. big plus cause i ordered at like 9:30 at night.
I had a good experience with them. Fast easy and simple. Ordered my wheels on Thurs, got a tracking # the next day, and was in my house by Tues. I highly recommend them, great packing and all!
