Cool So confused... help!

Hey,

I'm looking into getting wheels. Right now I got just the stock on the EX which is the 15" hubcap crap. I have a Sedan if that matters. It is silver too.

I wanna get 19's. I dunno what all of these different numbers mean and stuff. I would just like to find a set of wheels that will fit on my car without any problems. Does anyone have any suggestions? Also, where do you suggest getting them? Try to find a place locally or get the low prices on the net?

Any help that anyone can offer is gladly accepted.

Thanks alot.

I'm confused, what numbers? If you're talking about numbers like "215/35/19," the first number means the width of the tire, the middle number means the height of the sidewall, the third number means the size of your rims.

Numbers like "19x7.5" is size of rims by how wide they are.

Bolt pattern, get 4x100 for our cars.

Those are all the "numbers" I can think of right now. There's offset too, but you're gonna have to get someone else to explain that to you. I'll probably just confuse ya if I tried. Ha! Hope that helped though.

As far as wheel size goes you will want to keep it 7.5" or narrower, or else you may have some rubbing issues. Some people are running a 225/35-19 but if you are going to drop it any this also could rub on your inner fender or suspension parts, I would stick with a 215/35-19 to be safe.

Offset is the distance from the exact center of the wheel to the mounting face of the wheel or where the wheel would sit against the hub. Most often it is measured in millimeters with either a positive offset, which means the face of the wheel is more to the outer edge of the wheel, typically with front wheel drive cars. A negative offset is when the face of the wheel is recessed inward, if you were to use a wheel with a negative offset it would make the wheel stick out past the fender like a 4X4 truck. Offset changes also with wheel width but for a 7" or 7.5" wheel an offset of POSITIVE 40 to 44 ( most commonly +42) will work the best for your application.

So now you will be loooking for a wheel with a size of 19X7 or 19X7.5, an offset of +42, a bolt pattern of 4X100, and a tire measuring 215/35-19. And lug nuts that are 12mmX1.5" too.

And if you are wondering where to get them from check one of the sticky threads at the top of this subforum.
