Honda Civic Si and Honda Civic SiRThe Honda Civic Sport Package, better known as the Honda Civic Si is a great base vehicle to start a project. Upgraded components on the Honda Civic Si gave this car a advantage from the start. The Honda Civic SiR is the Canadian version for the Si.

Please just me let me know your personal thoughts on the new Si, how it looks to you? Anyone driven or riden in one? I'm a bit impressed with the DOHC iVTEC myself and soo many other things when I checked out the complete specs for it!!! I have happily poured a good deal of money into my 01 EX Coupe CiViC but before I go engine swapping or adding a turbo charger and continuing on with the numerous other mods I had in mind, I wanted to fairly consider the new 02 Si because I was impressed with the complete specs and you? Thank You!!! Please weigh in with your thoughts, comments, opinions, or knowledge!!! There should be a video and review that I did for the site if you search through General Ramblings. Not worth 20k if you ask me. Try and find a Si Coupe and invest the rest of the money into mods for that...either way youre only getting a 2-3 yr old car which is faster (for ppl who complain, oh ITS OLD)
I just bought a 2002 Si and I love it, only thing i dont like is the lower redline than the previous years. I payed 18.5k for mine and i think that i got a steal for it. Everyone seems to dog it but i think that this will change when more aftermarket mods become available and people see what it can really do. Peace

Overall:
I just spoke to my friend at the Honda dealer and he said that they havent sold any of the 5 that they had in stock. I guess no one wanted to pay $2000 over sticker for them, and I wouldnt pay that either. He told me he could give me the car for invoice, if I knew anyone interested in one. I think he said around $17,500 or so.
I picked one up last month for 18k,now i look at the dealer and they're selling them for 17k. Its a great car for 17k, but I aggreeed they were tryin to get too much for them. I lowered it and done a few other mods to it and I have to say that they look 110% better once lowered.(like a dif car almost) stock they look like mini-mini vans, but lowered 2 inches they look like attractive hatchies. The older si barely faster and the new si interior way better than the older ones 99-00. Overall if you can get one for 17k ithink that is worth it for sure!
+ for anyone wanting to put a KA2 into the hatchies, they just practically drop in!
Mini Oddessy Si. I wanna see it slammed, though. It deserves the Type R kit... import it! Leave the Type R decals there!
And on the subject of OEM body kits, there's not an optional kit for the new Si/SiR? It just made me think cuz there's one for the RSX Type S, but it's not the better looking JDM 2k2 Integra Type R body kit... and that's good... when the Type R is released, it'll look more distinct unlike the previous Integra which only has 2 different OEM looks. (94-97 and 98-01... 98 and up look better).
