99 Si ?'s

This is my first post here, so sorry for any already answered questions there have been. Couldn't get search to work for me.

I am looking into buying a Si. I had a 97 LX that was stole, and recovered totaled. So now I am looking to upgrade from it.

Is there anything I need to look out for on these models, that I can visually check before buying? What kind of MPG do yall get? I am guessing they are just as reliable as my old LX? I know I will have to replace the timing belt and other general wear parts.
Also what would be a good price on a 99 with say 75 to 100k miles?

Re: 99 Si ?'s

I may be a little old for my time, but I think $4000 for a 2000 SI is really cheap. Maybe there was damage to the car, or it had a salvaged title?

Re: 99 Si ?'s

those headlights are terrible lol. but other than that its tastfully modded i guess. i tend to stay away from modded cars tho cause you never know what they did to it and if it was raced and abused.

Yea I know what ya mean by buying a modded car. The headlights are ok but the ricey tow hook on the back would have to used a trot line weight!
