Engine Light came on....and bypass valve

Engine Light came on....and bypass valve Just came from the dealer, They told me that it is the air bypass valve to bypass the cylinoid. The Service rep told me that It's to let air inside to mix with the gas. They will replace the bypass, does this make sense?

Rep Power: 0 They ordered the part, Ready on Monday. I just found my order sheet it says;

My car did not show any symptoms at all. Hmmm
