ok, I have hood rattling problem, it happens only when I start the car. After driving a while it does not rattle anymore. Also, this happens pretty randomly...

I have a front strut bar, do I have to take it off before going to honda and ask them to fix it? I am almost at the warrantee period...

The hood rattle is probably caused by the strut bar touching a hose and making it vibrate. That's what mine was. Otherwise, the hood could be too loose. Just adjust those rubber stoppers so the hood sits higher and closes securely.

I have problems too with my A/T for my civic 2001 EX. I will go to the dealer tomorrow with the TSB and verify what they can do for me. THe car have 38,500 miles already and the warranty expire on 36k but the 3yrs will be on December.

so, my guarantee is almost up, there is no actual problem on the car...except the hood rattling which might due to my strut bar...

So can I go to Honda to get a full check of the car and tell them to fix anything which is wrong? Or should I leave the car alone as it does not have visible problems...

thanks

Well, I didn't read everything but please make sure the tranny problem gets added to the list! You can link the threads too.

Thanks!

Gearbox,

Can you ZIP and send me the ones you have? If they're not too large, then I can try and host them.
