I've never owned a car that revved down so slow after letting off the gas. It winds up quickly, so I'm guessing it's not flywheel mass. Is it a lean burn condition when the throttle is lifted?

You know i have the same problem, i dont know why it does it.
It's like if you hold the throttle steady for a good bit, then let up, the thing falls to like 2000 or under.
BTW: I also have a weird problem in the rain also. Whenever i hit a good enough poddle of water its, like something splashes up and the engine makes this hard grindy sound, sounds like its trying to clear somethin out of the intakes or somethin, i was thinking that the water may have been getting sucked in, but that would cause the engine to stall wouldnt it?
downtown, its been happening to many many members on this site.. Derek even started a thread that became huge. I don't think honda has said anything about this yet tho.

mine does something like that too.. say if I'm driving and come to a stop and shift to neutral, it it will like drop down to say 750 and then jump back up to 1500, then jump down to like 650, backup to 1400, and it jump back and froth like 3-4 times before it idles at about 500.. It seems like it did that when the weather changed but now its not doing it as much, maybe the ECU needs to adjust to the colder weather...
