Maintenance required?

Every time i start my car, the maintenance required light blinks about 10 times then stops. I don't notice any changes, this never happened before. Whatsa wrong[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG] To remove this ad, register today for free or log in if already registered!

Just means that you are within 2000 of your next service (oil change, lube, etc.)...if ya wanna get rid of it, turn your key to the start position in the ignition, but do not start the car....then hold down the trip odometer button for a few seconds, then start the car. It should go away...they also expalin it to ya in your manual...how many miles on the car?

well, im not sayin youre wriong man but i was told(by the guy at the service desk at my dealer) to hold it down for about 10 seconds, then turn the key to the on position(or start it same thing), and then release the button. but anyway.

Yeah, that is just a reminder that your 10k service is due in 2000 miles. Its easy to reset yourself if you do your own service...our cars are smart like that!

had the same prob at 29k miles. honda said there is a 30k 60k and 90k miles check up. but watch out honda tried to say it was going to cost $300 WTF.

DIY- how to turn off maint. req light


Turn OFF engine
Press and hold select/reset button in the instrument panl. then turn the ignition switch ON
hold the button until the indicator resets (aprox. 10 secs)

its been posted so many times

dont take it to dealer for checking stuff. you wont need it.. waste money
