I tried to load it but my phone would load it. I also needed the clocking position on the piston rings. Once i get this information i can carry on. The little money i had left i had to spend on fluids and a ring compressor.

1.7L engine:
Head bolts 3 steps: 14, 36, 49 ft-lb
rods: 24 ft-lb
main bridge 2 steps: 18, 38 ft-lb
Of course use the typical criss-cross and outward radiating patterns typical of any large engine assembly procedures. (sorry I can't hotlink info)
This looks like fairly typical ring install positions http://mmc-manuals.ru/manuals/pajero...6520000ENG.png

Got fault codes?
Got vacuum leaks?
Coolant full and burped?
Take off the breather lid and stick your fingers over the open port in the side of the throttle housing (IAC valve feed port)....If that brings the RPM way down that would indicate the IAC is open for SOME reason, quite likely to be stuck open from sitting.
If plugging the port does NOT bring the RPM way down look for vacuum leaks.

Pistons and rods are usually marked in some way for minor size variations, make SURE they return to the holes they originally came out of.
Rings: It's up to you to make sure the rings are installed in the correct places and make sure they are actually right side up according to the manufacturers instructions. Not all rings are the same and if you get any upside down it will cause problems.
I can't see the pics in the previous post either. I'll try my hand at ASCII LOL
You do NOt want any of the gaps to line up on the wrist pin nor thrust areas. You want the gaps about 45 degrees away from the wrist pin line.
Basic ring gap positions:
oil ....... l....... 2nd
............l............
............l............
---wrist pin line---
............l............
oil.........l............
spacer....l......... oil
