Rep Power: 0 Do we need a JDM forum?
The 7th generation Civic is ripe for the JDM swap. Mileage is usually over 200,000. The motors are relatively cheap compared to other imported motors.
I've heard of people doing these swaps and driving around without cruise control, air conditioning, even power steering.
There are solutions to these systems that are not a direct swap. But not on You Tube, or anywhere I can find on the internet.
Why not here?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

MAAAAYBE the engines don't have the mounting bosses cast in for the belt driven accessories? I don't think I have ever seen one in person but I seriously doubt this is the case, as the engine is used worldwide.
