Rep Power: 0 Possible Cam Sensor Problem?
I have a 2002 Honda Civic Ex and when I go to turn it on it cranks longer than usual. It shows that my battery is dead even though it is fine. Then I hear a clicking sound form the glovebox and its either the blue or red relay that is clicking. While it's clicking, the rpms drop to zero and the check engine light flashes but once the clicking stops the rpms go back to where they should be. After about 10 clicks or so it the check engine light stays on and and rpms drop to zero regardless if i give it gas or not. When I give it gas it sounds like a motorcycle and sounds like it doesn't go past the 4rpm mark but I cant tell since the gauge doesn't move and while it is at its maximum rpm peak the engine shakes. There is also a weird rumbling sound that comes from the engine bay when the relay clicks. It is drive able but I don't want to drive it cause I feel like it could possibly hurt the car more. I have a feeling that it is the Cam Sensor but not 100 percent sure. Can anyone help me out with this please?

when I had a bad cam sensor the RPM guage still worked. The engine ran but not very well and had very little power. But no clicking from the glove box.
I had a blown ECM and had a lot clicking from the glove box, also wouldn't get a reading from the tach.
Does it look like this:

if that's the case then your ECM is most likely shot. have you had any work done to the car recently. Specifically anything relating to the alternator?

i recentlyput in a new ground wire from the battery cause I thought the other was bad. So that might have something to do with it.

most likely. you'll want to make sure you have the alternator properly grounded before getting the ecm fixed. Otherwise the same thing will happen to the new one.
what made you think the old one was bad?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: Possible Cam Sensor Problem?
Loose alternator bolts
Poor grounding of the engine block
Both can ruin a PCM, and those get expensive in a hurry.

for some reason the car wouldn't start and I had to jump it to get it started so my friend used a new ground wire and it worked so that's what I thought it was. It possibly was just that it wasnt grounded right
