Rep Power: 0 2002 Civic ECU problem? Help!
So I bought a 2002 civic si with a blown motor off of a buddy for 80. Got a donor car with a d17 non vtec and swap was going good until the alternator grounded itself out and blew the main fuse in the car and now it refuses to run. It'll flash up and rev for maybe a second but very rough and then it stalls very hard. I have changed the following. Cam sensor, crank sensor, fuel rail with sensors, throttle body and all sensors attached and coil packs and plugs. I have spent days working on this problem now and don't want to spend a fortune on getting someone to program the other computer with this ignition if I don't have to. Have the spare non vtec ecu already but was told my ignition won't start it unless I get it programmed. So just looking for some advice to see if anyone else would think the computer is fried. The car is DUMPING fuel in like crazy. Car has been flooded beyond belief and when it starts it blows black from so much gas and plugs are full of soot. I'm all out of ideas other than the ecu
