About to assemble everything, but right before I put the lower tb cover on, I noticed that while pulley has grooves, the crank spindle for the crank...doesn't. Just that little woodruff key, and that sticks out about a centimeter. The hell? Why does the pulley have grooves in the inside if what it rides on doesn't? Is something funky going down?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Yeah that's how mine was, you would think it would line up better like a set of gears but it doesn't. Just don't drop the woodruff key into the holes in the control arm.

Yeah it just looks strange to me. Crazy how important that tiny little woodruff key is!

the woodruff key is used to align the crank pulley, not the timing belt pulley
