OK check it now. Take the car in to have the rebuilt OEM alternator installed. Car still jerks around and misbehaves. Take the old alternator to advance, they test it and say its all good.

So going home that night, dang sucker finally throws a CEL and then starts running properly. Take it by advance they say code is P0122, clear it, and it acts ok home.

Get up this morning, drives like it should. Idle is nice and smooth, wasn't before, and does all fine. Got CD player reinstalled, and amps back on line.

Then on the way home, throws a CEL again.

Anyone had P0122 and found you just need to replace the TPS? Or is there always something else? Dang sucker was running good, seemed to be a little down on power, but that could be because I have been driving my tundra for a couple weeks.

Anyone had P0122
Occasionally.
Make sure it's not a wiring problem (anywhere between the sensor and the PCM), nor female terminals that don't grip the male pins tightly.

Honda makes you buy the whole throttle body.

So can I get a TPS from O'Reilley or someplace? They claim to have the part.

What does the whole shooting match usually run, installed? I swear, this car is about to PMO with how much stuff costs.

It actually runs better now than it has in a while, with a CEL.

The questions should be, 'can you trust it?' And, 'can you install it?'

To which my answer would be, 'hellifIknow'.

Majestic shows about USD $250 if I picked the right car:
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...=THROTTLE+BODY

(^^^LINK!^^^) AND it comes with a new IAC!

You may want the gasket for that....16176-PMR-A01, $11.14 at the same place.

installed?
If you THINK you can replace your own TPS, then you can surely bolt on a fresh throttle body no sweat.

Stop. This stuff is cheap.

CEL went off, and then later on today, came back on.

I swear, this car is possessed. It is less spunky when the CEL is on too.

But it drives better. Go figure.

It's just a typical intermittent failure. It's not posse.....wait a sec

That's more often than 'once in a while'?
