Rep Power: 0 03' Civic Cranks but no start
Hello,
My Girlfriend's car cranks but does not start. I'm including the video. It will start only for a few seconds and will die out. From what I can tell with the tools I have is that the timing belt seems to be ok and I cleaned the spark plugs. I live out of town and can't do a lot right now. Any help is greatly appreciated off the video.

your computer thinks the engine is out of time, its shutting it down to prevent damage,
a few possibilities......
- the engine IS truely out of time, meaning your timing belt has "jumped time" a tooth or two,
- faulty crank sensor
- faulty cam sensor

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Let me add: Is the green key light flashing on the dash while it won't run?

Check the coils and electrical connection at the alternator, vacuum leaks between the throttle body and manifold, or possibly something wrong with the fuel reaching the engine
