Rep Power: 0 Rebuilt cylinder Head?
My friend's have a 2002 Civic EX 1.7 VTEC with some bent valves.....timing belt broke while driving it. Would you folks suggest buying a rebuilt head and if so, can you point me to a reliable and reasonable company? Also, We have not looked too extensively on this forum, but do you think we might find one through here?
thanks

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: Rebuilt cylinder Head?
We just have a machine shop replace valves/do the valve job, and fix the original head whenever possible. Replacement isn't normally necessary.

Re: Rebuilt cylinder Head?
I recently did a head replacement on an 03 EX and got a rebuilt for about $350 from these guys:

Shipping was fast and the head was done right- 3 angle valve job, new bearings and milled. Just had to ship them back the core in their container with the pre-paid shipping ticket via UPS within 30 days and all was good.
Highly recommended.
