I can't seem to get the relay for the compressor clutch to come on thru normal means, but if I jump the contacts in the socket the clutch kicks in , pressure switch reads closed, switch on dash seems good, any help would be greatly appreciated 2004 lx sedan Thanks

Re: ac won't come on

Pull the relay out.
Check (voltmeter) the contacts for the relay coil. One should have power, the other should have ground-- if all is going to work. Which is missing?

There are many possible reasons the clutch relay may not be turned on.

When you kick the AC on (push the button on the dash) do the radiator fans come on, or not?

Re: ac won't come on

There's a 3 wire connector for the compressor.

One of those wires goes to the clutch coil.

The other two are for the thermal protection device. See if that measures as open circuit.
