2005 civic ex overheating

Car was overheating in stop and go and idle conditions, radiator fan wasn't coming on at all.

Replaced fan, fan came on when ac was on but would not come on when car was running at temp.

Replaced cooling fan switch, fan started coming on when car was at temp and car no longer was overheating. A week later fan stopped coming on when car was at temp and car starts running hot AGAIN.

Could the switch have failed again? Is there something that would cause the switch to fail? It's a duralast (autozone part), at a loss here.

This would cause the switch to fail. Get OEM.

Yeah Duralast are some of the worst aftermarket parts out there....all Chinese crap. That's why they're the cheapest!

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
