If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: 2002 Honda Civic EX AC problem!
Does that mean the fan doesn't work?
If the blower fan doesn't work, the HVAC controller shuts down the AC system.

Re: 2002 Honda Civic EX AC problem!
Had nothing to do with cars.
I thought it was a pretty simple question: Does the fan work, or not? The fact that it is inside a car has nothing to do with not being able to answer the question.
If you were sitting in the Lazy Boy Recliner, in front of a box fan in your apartment, with your eyes closed...how would you know if the fan was working or not?
You can't SEE it spinning.
You can't SEE the air moving.
What would your clue(s) be?
Feel? Sound? What?
Now you are sitting in the drivers seat. Same scenario.
Depends on WHY it isn't working.
Power?
Ground?
Power transistor?
Fan motor?
HVAC control unit?
Garbage caught in it?
Test.

That CANNOT stop the inside fan from working.
Ignore this person for the moment.
Which fans?
The one fan inside the car, or the two fanS outside the car?
I think it will be much faster and easier if you just take it to someone that knows what they are doing, and pay them.

ezone=lol yea and all the fans stop working cuz i opened the hood and turned the ac on and the two fans stopped plus the inside one blows for like a second and then stops as well and yea i think so too lol how much would u expect to pay for this ?

See if you can find a procedure for doing the self test on the a/c control panel, that might give more clues.
I didn't find one right away, my google-fu is weak.

Climate Control
General Troubleshooting Information 21-104
How to Retrieve a DTC
The Climate Control Unit has a self-diagnosis function.
Running the Self-diagnosis Function
Turn the fan switch OFF.
Press the recirculation control switch and the rear window defogger switch.
While holding the both switches down, turn the ignition switch ON (II), then release the both switches. The recirculation indicator light and the rear window defogger indicator light come on. The recirculation indicator light goes off 2 seconds later and the A/C indicator light comes on (if so equipped), then the self-diagnosis will begin. About 10 seconds later, the self-diagnosis will finish and the A/C indicator light goes off. The recirculation indicator light will blink the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) to indicate a faulty component. If no DTC's are found, the indicator light will not blink.
NOTE: LHD type is shown, RHD type is symmetrical.

RECIRCULATION INDICATOR LIGHT
A/C INDICATOR LIGHT

REAR WINDOW DEFOGGER SWITCH

Example of DTC indication Pattern (DTC 3)
Resetting the Self-diagnosis Function
Turn the ignition switch OFF to cancel the self-diagnosis function. After completing repair work, run the self-diagnosis function again to make sure that there are no other malfunctions.
My tech manual has pictures that I can see, but I can't get them into the post quickly.... Follow that for the self diagnostics, put your code in this thread if you have one. I'll look it up.

Re: 2002 Honda Civic EX AC problem!
Code 12 is defined as "A problem in the blower motor circuit".
It can't tell you WHY it doesn't work, only that it knows the problem is in that area.
As I said before, the blower fan must be fixed first.

#14 says "MOTOR ASSY., TEMPERATURE". This is the air mix motor.
You would see this one from the drivers floorboards while laying on your back, looking up.
